Colin Bracewell

A versatile Minneapolis-based, Canada-bred singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Colin Bracewell is paving his own fresh path within the Midwest music scene. His instrumentation sets Bracewell apart from other singer-songwriters of the same genre often adding gentle synths, a killer trumpet solo or a moody saxophone riff (of which he plays) to bring a jazzier feel that offsets lyrics of heartbreak (or amplifies them, depending on the listener).

Releasing his debut EP set for March of 2024, Bracewell collaborated with Minnesota-based bands Bad Bad Hats and Remo Drive to result in a catchy blend of indie-rock and intimate ballads. Bracewell has also had several sold-out shows at First Ave’s 7th St Entry, airplay on Minnesota’s The Current, Cities 97.1, KFAI, and several other Midwest stations, with his biggest show yet at the Fine Line in March 2024 for his “Cozy” EP Release. Colin’s previous release, “Making Me Crazy” was in heavy rotation on The Current in 2023 and his releases continue to be in regular attendance on their station. Bracewell’s latest single release (prior to the EP), “Julia”, landed him a spot on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Canada” playlist for over 4 weeks as an independent artist.

Colin’s 4 song EP, Cozy, delivers a taste of genre-hopping songs served with the pop hooks that he is known for. The set was co-produced with Chris Hoge and saw Bracewell exclusively songwriting on each track.
