Colin Bracewell

Minneapolis-based, Canada-bred singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Colin Bracewell is carving out a distinct space in the Midwest music scene. Blending indie rock with pop-infused textures, Bracewell’s sound stands apart—layering his gentle synths, moody saxophone riffs (which he plays himself), and striking trumpet solos to elevate his raw, heartfelt lyricism and falsetto style vocals. His music seamlessly weaves between infectious energy and intimate vulnerability, creating a sonic experience that resonates deeply.

In March 2024, Bracewell released his debut EP, Cozy as a collaboration with Minnesota indie staples Bad Bad Hats and Remo Drive, resulting in a dynamic collection of genre-fluid tracks. Produced with Chris Hoge, Cozy delivers four tracks that showcase Bracewell’s signature sound—genre-blending, emotionally charged, and undeniably catchy. With each song exclusively written by Bracewell, the EP cements his artistry as both a skilled songwriter and a compelling performer.

His previous single, “Making Me Crazy,” was a breakout success, receiving heavy rotation on The Current and solidifying his presence on the airwaves. His latest release, “Julia,” landed a coveted spot on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Canada” playlist for over four weeks.

Bracewell’s growing reputation is reflected in his sold-out performances at First Avenue’s 7th St Entry, frequent radio play on The Current, Cities 97.1, KFAI, and other Midwest stations. Now, he’s gearing up for his biggest year yet—he’s just auditioned on The Voice and will be releasing a new single this fall.
